High Performance Green Polyester Strapping – 5/8″ x .035″ x 4,000′ [Core: 16×6″]
Replaces steel strapping.
- Split Resistance – Unlike with steel strapping, a small nick or cut in PET strapping will not propagate across the width of the strap and break.
- High Retained Tension – The high tension capability of high-performance polyester allows it to be applied tight, and once it’s on your load, it stays tight.
- Elongation Recovery – When applied properly, high-performance polyester will stretch under tension, yet still recover most of its elongation after initial application. This results in a strap that stays tight even if loads shrink or settle during transit
- Environmentally Sound – polyester can be cut into small pieces and easily accumulated for recycling, contributing to less strapping waste. Please make sure to contact your local municipality or waste management service to review options for recycling polyester strapping.
- Safety – Not only is the danger of recoil injuries greatly reduced when you use polyester strapping, but PET coils also weigh about half the weight of steel coils, reducing potential lifting injuries.
- Weather Resistant – Unlike steel, PET strapping won’t rust. It is virtually unaffected by weather conditions and is naturally UV resistant.
- Cost Savings – On average, converting steel strapping to high performance polyester strapping can yield savings of 25 – 50%.
